Voices of Get Set Tennis

See what our student, parents, schools and tennis community has to say about Get Set Tennis.

"'Learning to play tennis with the Get Set Tennis team has been such a fun and positive experience for our kids. It also prompted a return to tennis for me after 20 years and the adult class is now a highlight of the week!"

– Laura Goward

""More than tennis" - There's a reason the team at Get Set Tennis use this motto. The atmosphere that the whole Get Set team have created and contributed to is one of being fun while being fair, it's inclusive not exclusive, happy and upbeat, while teaching fantastic tennis fundamentals and technique. From the kids to the adult classes, the vibe is consistent, a place you can be yourself, enjoy your tennis and make great friendships. Thank you Get Set Tennis for being amazing!"

– Katrina Burgers

"At Get Set Tennis, my children always have an amazing time. Nelson has a fun, active approach that keeps the kids moving, learning, and smiling from start to finish. We've seen such a boost in their confidence and enjoyment of the sport. Thank you, Nelson and the coaching team, for creating such a positive environment. "

– Jean-Marie Boshoff

"My son, Andrew, started his first tennis class when he was four years old. Now, he is in his third term of tennis classes and has felt happy and excited since the trial lesson. After the trial, he told me that he enjoys learning tennis and only wants to join Coach Nelson’s class. I am also very happy that Andrew can continue learning with Get Set Tennis. The coaches at Get Set Tennis are professional, enthusiastic, friendly, and patient with children. Thanks"

– Ash

"Our son loves his tennis lessons at Get Set, we saw how he has improved as he got older, while the coaches still keeps it fun and enjoyable. We also love listening Nelson and Rez on their podcast and being MCs at the Canberra International, lots of knowledge and fun. Keep it like that, as they say: more than tennis 🎾. Cheers,"

– Bruno Ferronato

"My son began attending Get Set Tennis at the age of seven in 2017. The team is characterised by its fun, professional and personable nature, all of which prioritise the best interests of each child. Nelson and his team have fostered a supportive environment that has created memorable experiences for my son. He is now sixteen and continues to enjoy the programme."

– Lenie Kostovska

"The Get Set Tennis experience is both professional and fun. The whole coaching team is committed to making every class enjoyable – offering plenty of variety in drills and games to keep me coming back term after term. After 10 years of both kid and adult classes with Get Set Tennis, my whole family has gained so much from the coaches and the friendships made in such a welcoming and non-judgemental tennis environment. And the Insta reels are always epic!"

– Shae Lalor (Kaleen)

"The team at Get Set Tennis are exceptional. Their coaches are warm, engaging and highly attuned to the needs of each child, keeping the whole group involved and having fun from start to finish. Our child enjoys several sports, but tennis is easily his favourite thanks to the wonderful coaching team. We couldn’t recommend Get Set Tennis more highly. Many thanks,"

– Samantha Horsfall

"Get Set Tennis have been so supportive and encouraging. They really believe in every child. Before we joined, my daughter could not hit a single ball. The coaches were engaging and patient teaching her the techniques in a way that made sense to young kids. She grew more confident and now believes in herself. Now we see her on the courts with a grin on her face every lesson as she learns a new skill. As a parent watching this I am forever grateful to Get Set Tennis. "
