Raising the Standard of Tennis in Canberra

Get Set Tennis was built on one simple belief — coaching should be structured, inspiring and genuinely enjoyable. We’re here to develop better players and stronger tennis communities.

Where It Began

Business partners and good friends Nelson Parker and Reza Tompsett have been building Get Set Tennis for over 10 years. With over 50 years of international coaching, facility management and playing experience between them, they have developed an energetic, fun, and inclusive program that they are proud to call a home to 4 facilities and over 500 students. The vision was to create a community that believes that it is ‘More Than Tennis’.

2015

Nelson became a business owner with Get Set Tennis running his program for the first time at Kaleen Tennis Club

Nelson opens program at Good Shepherd Primary school and Amaroo school.

2017

Reza joins the team as a coach and later as a partnered Director.

2020

Get Set Tennis begins working with Canberra Grammar School providing co-curricular programming and additional coaching.

2022

Get Set Tennis begins working with Radford College for their co-curricular programming.

2022

Get Set Tennis begins working with Radford College for their co-curricular programming.

2023

Get Set Tennis does podcasts and interviews for the ATP/WTA Workday Canberra International event.

2024

ATP/WTA Workday Canberra International MC’s, on court interviews, podcast and social media content for second year.

2026

Continues relationship with Kaleen Tennis Club, Canberra Grammar School, Radford College, Amaroo School, Good Shepherd and ATP/WTA Workday Canberra International.
